Saardu 1: The Adventure Begins (Saardu: A Science Fantasy Series for Incurable Daydreamers) ReviewA truly futuristic sci-fi/fantasy tale, Saardu was written by an adult geek, for young geeks. This is not an intellectually easy read. Children will be exposed to advanced theories about space, time, and energy, blended with elements of magical fantasy. The unimaginative will not be able to grasp this work. It's for dreamers. Ruby is a little girl on an adventure that is both healing, challenging and inspirational. I'm not going to give it away, but I will say, to all of those who grew up with childrens' book series, like Narnia, or Nancy Drew, or Trixie Beldon, or the Three Investigators, or Harry Potter, this is another spell-binding journey in the making. This is book one. Kudos to the author, and may she bring many more tales in the saga of Ruby and Saadu into fruition!Saardu 1: The Adventure Begins (Saardu: A Science Fantasy Series for Incurable Daydreamers) OverviewSaardu is a science fantasy series inspired by the concept of String Theory's 11 dimensions. The first book introduces the conduit, Ruby, as a child descended from Earth and trapped in a spaceship run by genetic engineers who treat imagination as a danger to themselves and the mission. The Saardu series is appropriate for readers of all ages.
