Anna Mercury V1: The Cutter HC ReviewThis collection boasts a large cover gallery in the back containing three sections. There are the five Juan Jose Ryp wrap covers plus additional covers he drew for auxilary issues and special convention issues, and the beautiful Felipe Massafera painted covers that looks good enough to frame ( again all five are included). Lastly there are the special Facundo Percio convention covers in the back that showcase his talent with facial expression.
There are five issues in this collection and the chapter breaks are drawn by Paul Duffield and are double sided with the original basic covers and the Duffield auxilary covers on the back. Each chapter contains Ellis' classic witty banter and jokes, and Facundo Percio's art brings the characters fully to life with expressive faces. Percio's art finds a balance between static dialogue and action scenes. His layouts are not static and use skewed panels to add depth to the layouts. His static panels have the appearance of movement in them, while the action scenes appear to have all the motion illusion that Juan Jose Ryp's or Kohta Hirano's art has.
